Accessibility statement for this tool

This tool is run by the Ministry of Justice. We want as many people as possible to be able to use it. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts
  • zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
  • navigate the form using just a keyboard
  • navigate the form using speech recognition software
  • listen to the form using a screen reader (including recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)

We’ve also made the text as simple as possible to understand.

AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

How accessible this online form is

We used components in the GOV.UK Design System to build this tool. The Design System accessibility guide explains the current state of accessibility for these components.

We have also added custom styling to the next steps page, using grey boxes to improve readability. These meet the required colour contrast standards.
